We have arrived!!

The teams met in Singapore after uneventful flights and launched straight into their Amazing Race at Changi.  This was made a little bit more difficult due to a distinct lack of sleep - some of us only managing to get about 2 hours! Once the race was over, we had a few hours to really check out the airport and perhaps squeeze in a bit of shopping (made even better with the vouchers from the airport).  The Darwin team members left at about 1pm to make their way to Siem Reap and the Victorians were to leave about an hour later.  Both teams were stranded on their respective planes on the runway (Darwin for over an hour and Victorians for about 30 minutes after the plane had already been delayed by 3/4 of an hour).  The end result was a late arrival in Siem Reap.  we finally got to the hotel at about 6pm local time.  Quickly settling into our rooms before heading off for tea.  No-one ventured to try the frogs at our table, it was fried rice and noodles all round.  We made it back to the rooms for showers and then to bed as we start tomorrow with a Khmer language lesson.

It is great to see all students and leaders mixing well and already making new friends.
the adventure begins.....
